Requirements for Studying in the Netherlands through a Scholarship
To be eligible for the scholarship, you must:
- Be a citizen of a country in Africa.
- Have applied for a Master’s program at the university before the application deadline.
- Meet the acceptable criteria for Master’s study.
- Be in the top 5% of your undergraduate class with a minimum grade of 80%.
Special Requirements for Application to the University for Master’s Study:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Have a GPA equivalent to 80% or a GPA of 3.2/4.
- Provide proof of English language proficiency:
- IELTS: 6.5, with a minimum of 6 in speaking.
- TOEFL IBT: 92, with a minimum of 23 in speaking.

Steps for Applying for Free Scholarships in the Netherlands
- First, you must apply for a Master’s program at the university before the application deadline. You can learn about the steps here.
- Afterward, in March 2024, a notification will be sent to students who have received unconditional acceptance for the Master’s program at the university. They will be invited to apply for the scholarship.
- Subsequently, 20 individuals will be selected for the final interview.
